I loved the mix of Mafia & Hockey in this MM romance. It has mystery, and suspense. From on the ice to off the ice. The spice between Luca and Max was soo good. This was such a different take and I absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. You got MM, Bodyguard, hockey star, ONE BED, and a bit of violence. ALSO, THAT ENDING WAS SO SHOCKING AND AMAZING!

LUCA & MAX.... talk about spicy. This was a great book, with a good plot. I laughed, I cried! This book had me feeling all kinds of emotions. Max and Luca have lots of chemistry and when they finally give in Tori Chase brings the spice. I like me some mafia books so I had that in this book.

There was so much going on in this book, and all the tropes had me hooked from page 1!!

If you know anything about hockey, or you have any respect for the LGBTQ community, do not read this book. It sucks ass, and not in the fun way.

a forbidden MM romance with tons of twists and turns. this story kept me on the edge of my seat. lucas and max had this connection that made them be authentic and open. their relationship at times did feel a bit rushed.

I enjoyed this one but it wasn’t a favourite for me in either the sports or dark romance genres.
I liked the relationship development between our two MMCs and their dynamic was gorgeous.
The side characters were interesting, and I’d love to learn more about them.
I didn’t mind the writing style, although some parts felt rushed while others seemed to drag on, but that’s possibly a personal preference thing, I was invested in the HEA and the spice was good.
I just didn’t LOVE it overall and can’t put my finger on exactly why.
