4.5 stars ⭐️! Wow, I loved this book so much - probably even slightly more than the first book. Firstly, Tessa and Corrick have my heart and the romance was *chefs kiss*. Once again I love the characters and character development and I’m so glad Tessa is developing into such a strong female lead. I also loved how we got to see more from Harristan’s POV in this book, both brothers have such interesting stories, The twists and turns have me desperate to read the final book in the series and I’m so sad I have to wait until next year to find out the conclusion of what happens in Kandala!

Very solid sequel! I really liked seeing the characters more, especially Korrick. I can't wait to read the last book.

Ich mag die Mondflor-Reihe wirklich wirklich gerne. Zu Beginn war dieser Band nur ein wenig zu langatmig.

didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. some overly predictable turns. rocco is genuinely the only one i care about.

This series continues to be lukewarm for me. Tessa is a nightmare throughout book 2. She has no independent thought at all the entire book - she absorbs and reflects the personalities and opinions of those around her until she engages with someone who thinks something else and then the cycle repeats itself.

The writing is very good and the pacing of the book is quick enough that you don't lose interest. I think I really am missing what I assumed would be significant relationship development between Tessa and Corrick; in fact it feels they have gone back in time a bit.

I actually find Corrick to be delightful in this book, and I didn't see the ending coming. I also very much enjoyed the pov we get of the king this time around.

I will read book 3 because I have to know what happens but I'm underwhelmed for sure to this point.

I mean I read it and it was entertaining enough to finish it. Will I read the third book? Absolutely
