Fantastic sequel, loved it so much. This book had me in a corner more than once, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Adrian and Nova’s relationship is GUT-WRENCHING, especially the last scene. Also, the political involvement with everything that happens in the story is so well written and enjoyable, I LIVE for it.

Also, something with the bracelet and the star from the dream (that Adrian DREW) is gonna go down, and I’m ready. And Phobia’s a sketchy dude, he totally killed Adrian’s mom, and I don’t trust him. Yea.

Marissa Meyer does not disappoint!

So, I was fairly scared that this book might suffer from second book syndrome, but luckily, it was far from monotone or dragging.

Actually, quite the opposite, reading it was definitely an emotional rollercoaster.
As a reader, I felt super torn between Novas' set of beliefs, morals, convictions, and Adrian's. I truly didn't know who to root for, and I am still unsure who exactly are "the bad guys."

I also love that Nova and Adrian have this whole friends to lovers thing going on, while their alter egos are literally archenemies and trying to yk...unalive each other.

Anyways I can't wait to get my hands on the final book of this trilogy!

Sooo much better than the first book. Still longer and more drawn out that it probably needed to be but it at least had an interesting plot and the characters did things! Crazy I know.
