I absolutely hated this one. My least favorite in the series by far. I think I went in with too high of expectations, especially after loving the first 4, and liking Bella in the last book, and then being really excited when I realized who Cole was. I was expecting a fun spy romance like Mr and Mrs Smith, with a little Bourne identity thrown in there, but this was so boring, and I was so disappointed. Bella’s britishisms were so overkill, and took me right out of the story, and Cole was irritating. The amount of talk about babies and not using a condom was also so overkill.  Something happened in the last 100 pages that I just thought was so unnecessary also. It made me not want to continue. But I do like the series as a whole, and the spy family that Crew has built, so I made myself finish, but I have regrets. This didn’t even feel like it was the same series as the others. Even the smut was subpar, but maybe that’s because I hated Cole and Bella.

Fantastic! Bloody Brilliant! Amazing! I could go on and on with adjectives to describe how I feel about this book but none would come near to providing an accurate description. Bella is the ultimate badass....I’m not sure I’ve come across a more badass female than her. Cole is just as much of a badass as Bella. The banter is this book is some of the best I have ever read.....and not just the banter between Bella and Cole but the banter between Jarvis and Cole left me laughing. With lots of twists and turns and a mystery to solve this book will keep you turning pages until the end. Brynne Asher is a master story teller. I’ve read every book of hers but Bella and Cole may be my new favorites. All the stars for this one!

This was painfully long and a lot of unnecessary chapters. I don’t know how I finished it.

“Uncle Sam takes the Queen. I feel like singing God Bless America.”

Hero after proposing to heroine because  he is American, heroine is British lmao

This too had veiled sexism; hero saying giggling is for skittish blushing girl but heroine ain’t one? 🤨 okay 💀

Okay this series seems to be really entertaining and the author’ best work.
The heroine was witty, hero entertaining. And the plot? Had me hooked through and through. The ending was sweet too. Overall, I had so much fun reading it. Not sure which one is my fav book from the series yet.

Another 5 stars for Brynne Asher and her Killers series!! Not only do we get Cole a cocky alpha but we get Bella who happens to be one of the most BADASS heroines of all time. This book is action packed and you will put everything else aside to devour it in one big bite. Ms. Asher is a wiz at character development and interpersonal relationships all while creating some of the best banter you will ever read. All I can say is welcome to Crew Vega’s F-ed up family Bella and Cole!!!

Second chance romance.
They met before, worked together, had a relationship then found it difficult to continue in the real world so she broke it off.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Hero is obsessed with the heroine.
The heroine pushes away for a while.

Spoiler.....

Heroine was a virgin when they met, hasn't been with anyone else.
Hero is a single dad with sole custody of his daughter, the mother is not on the scene.
He is devoted to his daughter but the other woman messed with a condom, so tricked him to try to trap him.
No mention of the Hero with others during the separation, as far as I noticed.

Lots of scenes and catch-up with couples from previous books in series.

HEA.
Epilogue.
