We had the Book Mobile and a table in the media center. We saw about 30 people, and signed up several families up for library cards, and for those who already had library cards, I gave information about programs and digital apps that have access to.

Notable for: decent depth for middle grade, overall charm

Sure at this point that I prefer Lucy Knisley's fiction to her adult-oriented memoirs. This was a cute, if somewhat forgettable (for me, an adult) MG comic. There's some good, layered character writing in here-- I like the bully character, as well as the stepdad both being flawed in ways that are not easily smoothed over.
