I liked that the relationship was mature although the climax of it was anticlimactic. They moved past some pretty big drama really quick. But overall a cute and fun read for summer.

Probably my all time favourite contemporary (rivaled only by Looking For Alaksa). Perfect if you're stuck in a reading slump!

2,5 stars
- I liked Tim (Samantha's friend) a lot more than Jase (the hero).
- Important things were left unanswered.
- No great chemistry between Samantha and Jase in my opinion.

"I don't know. I didn't have that choice. But i know what's happening now. And I'm choosing to stay with you."

gosh! i was crying while reading this part ..
i know how hard it is for Sam, she's her mother anyway ..
at some point in our lives, we have to make a choice ..
and we have to choose what's RIGHT even if we hurt the people we love ..
i admire Sam for being so strong and choosing what's right .. :)

i never expected that it would have a story line like that,
i thought that Gracie's disdain and dislike to the Garrett family is the only conflict of the story ..
but i was so wrong .. and i love stories that are not predictable ..
so, yeah! I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH ..

i love Jase, i really wanna marry him, like, RIGHT NOW! hahah!!:D
(how i wish) .. :D
i also kinda like Tim .. he's way smarter than he looks ..
and he's a good friend .. :)

i love all the members of the Garrett family .. especially George .. what a curious boy he is ..
he's gonna be a genius when he grows up .. hahahah! :D

i hate that Clay guy .. GOD! what an ass-hat that guy is .. i wanna kill him .. hahah!
description

the ending could be better, but then again, the end does not justify the means .. LOL! i still love it as much .. ♥♥♥

"even the most important ones --- I LOVE YOU, I'M SORRY, FORGIVE ME?, I'M HERE --- are only stand-ins for what you can say better without talking at all.."

Holy WOW! Was this book real? Because it was just too good! I was in love from the first page. I was half-way through the book and so darn happy when I realized there was so much more book left to read and SOMETHING bad had to happen. I almost stopped reading because I wanted everything to just stay in that magical world of Jase/Samantha. But I kept reading and their world got shattered... and I'm glad that I kept reading. This book was a great way to start out 2013 for me!!

I think I would have had better luck with this one as a physical copy, the eBook format for me needs to be compulsive to hold my interest, whereas I can be more forgiving/receptive when the book is in my hand. The minutiae of Samantha's summer jobs, her anxiety, Mrs Garrett's breast feeding, her mother's outfits and snark etc... didn't exactly compel me. Samantha and Jase didn't feel like they had much depth and I struggled to care as I limped to the finish.

Maybe I'm just cranky that I don't get long summer holidays anymore!
