I like the idea behind this book more than the book itself and it needs a lot of editing... A lot...

This book was pretty cute. YA so it was an easy read which is fine sometimes. I enjoyed the twist it gave to modern fairytales, that made it a little less predictable. All in all I enjoyed it.

After reading the description, I was definitely intrigued. And I wasn't disappointed. I loved the fairy tale theme and the author did a fantastic job of orchestrating every detail in order to pull off the epic show down. It was very well written and I want to read book two.

A very creative story which breathes new life into fairy tale lore. However, a lot of the book focused too much on creating an awkward love triangle. Brody ended up being nothing but a love sick puppy, and Jared ended up being his polar opposite (a little too similar to Edward and Jacob of Twilight fame). I also found the main character unlikable for the first 1/2 of the story line. She was too stubborn and mean to those around her especially to Brody who kept coming back for more for some strange reason. By the end you understand why, but its a bit of unrealism that gets to be too much.

I think the author is creative and has a lot more to offer with this series. I would read more. However, its not a priority because I found the characters slightly lacking in interest value. Story content is great, story characters need more development.

I really did like this book. Fairy tails have always been a weakness of mine. It had a good idea it just needed a little more editing and it would have been an incredible book. The teen angst was thick and I was hoping the friend lost the new cell phone as well. Over all well worth the effort to read.

This book was amazing. Really can't wait to read the others in the series. I love the idea of Grimm stories, and having it come to life just shows how much things in Fairy Tales could be incorporated into real life. I actually felt a sense of sorrow and loss for the main character towards the end of this book. However, I feel like this character can be built stronger in the next few books in the series.
