The way that Miles Griffin was in this book was top tier book boyfriend material!

Zoe is stuck in an arranged marriage with a psychopath! Let’s call him what he is and that is deranged and crazy, Zoe literally tried to jump off a cliff to get away from him!

Miles and Zoe start off as an enemies to lovers turned into friends to lovers turned into soul mates and I was here for it!

The way that Miles saved Zoe will always stand out to me! He sacrificed his own start in life to make her happy and honestly it was a swoon worthy moment!

This book was absolute perfection. My emotions were all over the place; the highs were exhilarating and the lows were devastating but everything flowed so beautifully.

Miles was a fast favorite from The Heir and this book cemented that. He lived up to that preview and then some; he’s a true mastermind and THE guy to have on your side. He’s got a solution for everything and “impossible” isn’t in his vocabulary. Nothing deters him and it’s so admirable… Zoe is a lucky girl!!! Their journey from acquaintances to forbidden lovers to a full on relationship was beautiful to read. They truly deserve each other!

As for the heart-wrenching part… I didn’t expect it at all. I was in complete denial as that series of events played out, and when that time came… I had to put my phone down and stare at the wall for a few minutes just to process everything. That arc was beautifully executed but the pain was too much

There is so much intensity that decompression is a must...

Oh my. I most definitely needed all of this. I loved everything about this book.

Miles is the oldest of Aida and Cal’s children. He is truly a rebel but somehow he manages to be one with a cause. That doesn’t mean that said cause is always known or makes sense to anyone but him. That is until Zoe comes into his life. Zoe is sheltered, or in this case, caged by her father at home and her awful fiancé at school. Her life is truly a living nightmare in which she can see no escape. When she finally has had enough, in desperation she swallows her fear and takes drastic measures. That’s where the cunning of Miles becomes her lifeline.

I loved how much of Nero’s hotheaded evil genius mentality Miles inherited. Not only that, but he seemed to take the qualities from his parents that we all grew to love. I enjoyed watching him slowly change as his relationship with Zoe and even Cat grew. He became so protective. It was that desire to keep Zoe safe that took me back to the beginning of not only Cal and Aida but also the rest of the Griffin/Gallo clan.

The only negative thing I have to say about this book is that I wish it didn’t have to end. I’m honestly waiting for the day when we get to watch all of Sophie’s books on the screen rather than in our heads. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. As always, I’m hooked.

Ofc I really liked this book too, obviously it’s a Sophie Lark book.

As you might be aware I’m a sucker for mafia books and this series has the extra element of a boarding school which also adds a little forced proximity, one of my favorite tropes.

This one followed Miles (the son of Aida & Callum) and Zoe. These two are the opposite of eachother, at least in the beginning. Zoe has been engaged to Rocco since she was 12, which we learnt about in the previous book. After reading my fair share of mafia books I’ve stumbled upon many sociopaths, and I think Rocco might be up there among my top 3. He was just AWFUL, and scary and just a horrible person.

Miles and Zoe’s development in the book is so cute and I really liked reading about them BUT if I’m being completely honest it was the “side” characters that had me wanting more.
I can’t wait until I get to Dean’s book he’s just an enigma that then we also have Ares, Headeon, Jasper and Cat. I found myself wanting to read more about them, than the main couple.

But I still really enjoyed the book, on to Ivan

Miles MOTHERFUCKING Griffin, everyone. I thought I was ready but good god did Miles take me by surprise.

Miles is the perfect combination of Aida and Callum--reckless, charming, innovative, and ruthless when he knows what he wants. Or who he wants, in this case. Miles and Zoe fit together like puzzle pieces, and their chemistry was off the fucking charts once they both gave in to their building sexual tension. Their first time together in the cathedral?? WHEW. That man knows what he's doing.

I have to give props to Sophie for carrying out Aida and Callum's legacy in such a beautiful way, and for keeping me on my toes throughout the entire book. I was audibly gasping past the 60% mark, and I can't wait to keep going in this series. I'm literally loving every second.

I think I need 5-7 business days to process what I just read and all the emotions I went through. RTC when I recover from all of this

The stakes were higher and the new central characters were so much more exciting than those in the book prior. Usually, I feel, authors lose momentum in a series after book one. The Rebel ends up being much more impactful, emotional, and thrilling than I had expected it to be and I'm so happy knowing Cat will be our new main heroine going into book three.

I teared up, I got very anxious, and I inhaled this book across two days.

This is a Rocco hate account and Cat stan account.
