This is the precursor to the series. I don't know why it's labeled as 1.5. Should be .5. In any case it's a nice little short for the setup of the series.

A charming prequel. I just love Mae’s competence. And I’d probably love her scrambled eggs.

This is a cute short story. I really enjoyed the book 'At Your Service' to which this story is a preface. Does not matter if you read this or the novel first.
It is a very short story almost like a lost chapter to the book. Basically how Mae becomes Major Kitt's Butler. It also gives a hint, where the book did not, that they were attracted to each other from the start. I would highly recommend 'At Your Service,' or any of her books for that matter.
