This story was hot!
The book is written in first person and has once persons perspective until the very end when we hear from Reed for one chapter.

Wren has recently become widowed. When her brother in law, Reed, says that he is going to move in with her to help her out, she doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Their relationship is hard work with their constant bickering and jealously when each of them go on dates. You can feel the sexual tension in the air and you just want them to rip each other’s clothing off.

I loved how cosy this book was, it’s a story which you can just pick up and read especially when you don’t know what you want to read. I throughly enjoyed it. I can’t wait for you to meet Wren and Reed and their chemistry! Give me a Reed any day!

Reeling from the loss of her husband after learning of his many affairs, Wren doesn’t know how to feel. Jake has left her basically penniless, and she isn’t sure who to turn to. That’s when her brother-in-law Reed bulldozes his way into her life, and demands that she let him take care of her. But with the two of them living under one roof, lines begin to blur, and once they’ve been crossed… there’s no going back.

Okay, so this is my first T.L. Quinn book, and I was pleasantly sunrised! Wren, I really felt for her in this one. Not only did her husband cheat on her, but then he died before they could tell anyone, leaving her with no money and no way to support herself. She was forced to play the grieving widow, all the while dealing with feelings of anger and resentment. It’s no wonder she began to rely on Reed, he was the only one of Jake’s family to ever truly care about her or check up on her.

And Reed, oh my!!! Reed was something I wasn’t expecting, but was (and still am!) 100% here for. He was definitely an alpha male, and I loved the way he treated Wren in and outside of the bedroom. At times, you’re going to want to slap him, but I promise you it gets better!!! Reed definitely gets a spot on my book boyfriend list.

While this book isn’t short on sexy times, be aware that it is extremely and agonizingly slow burn. Seriously, this is forbidden romance at its finest. I can’t wait to read more by T.L. Quinn in the future!!

This book was HOT HOT HOT!! At the beginning of the book, Wren learns that her husband has been having multiple affairs throughout their marriage and she kicks him out and doesn’t hear from him for a while. Before they can announce their separation, Jake is killed in a car accident. It leaves her in a very strange state of grief. Jake’s brother, Reed, comes to live with her to help support her financially. Wow! Reed is a smokin hot alpha who made me angry, swoon, and turned on almost all at the same time. It was kinda interesting the relationship that developed between them. When they weren’t having sex, Reed was sweet and kind. When they were having sex and right after, Reed was an a-hole who was rude and pushed her away. The anger comes from the guilt of sleeping with his brother’s wife. That anger made for some seriously hot scenes in the bedroom.

I wasted a good few hours reading this. Wish I could get the time back. Too much women sex shaming/hating and weirdly rape-y lines for this to be close to being enjoyable.

I have followed T.L. Quinn on Instagram for a while and also have had this book downloaded for quite some time as well. I really don’t know why it took me so long to read it. It was so good. Lots of spice and tension between Wren and Reid (Wren’s brother in law). You should definitely check this one out.

This smutty, forbidden love story was such a quick and dirty read! For anyone who likes a good smutty romance with a large amount of sexual tension between that forbidden couple, then you're in luck!

Right away, Wren is a character that you want to see succeed. You want so much more than the hand she was dealt. She wasn't able to blossom as she was only pushed down in her marriage, made to believe she was the weaker one, but thankfully she is getting her second chance...

𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝'𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝!

That's right! This book is full of that forbidden lust, those feelings you shouldn't be having, conflicted emotions, but when that person is the one trying to push you to succeed in life, to be more of the true you, and love life to its fullest, who are you to say no?!

Reed is that man she didn't realize she needed in her life. That partner that will always he on her side, that wants her to be happy!

This was a great smutty romance 😍

Why didn't I read this one sooner? It’s been in my TBR since before it came out.

The banter and angst are over the top amazing!

Reed and Wren are brought together once more after the passing of her husband, Jake (aka Reed's brother). They had had a falling out a few months back when Reed announced to her that Jake was cheating on her. They both now live under the same roof - trying to not fall into each other's arms and bed every chance they get.

There is so much back and forth between these to but it's definitely worth it. Each steamy scene gets sexier than the last one and much more bolder.
