cute good and lightly meaningful book. the only con was that the title is embarrassing af. i would recommend to any light romance fans, although not for people who don’t want a clean book. overall i liked it

So slow. Bit boring as I do see Mr. Collin’s being but I never considered Charolette to be so boring and simple as she is being portrayed. I just can’t finish.

Ok, I'm a fan of Pride and Prejudice. I don't normally pick up retellings or novels inspired by characters from the original as to be honest any I have tried have done an appalling job. The Clergyman's Wife however was a gem. I read it on the recommendation of a bookclub member and I thoroughly agree with her recommendation. Greeley nailed it. I really felt she stayed true to existing characters from P & P, but created new believable characters as well. I even shed a tear which I haven't done with a novel in a very long time.

I had a smile on my face for so much of this book. I adore Charlotte and this book added so much context to her story.

As a Jane Austen fan, the author really did find a way to capture the spirit of Pride & Prejudice while creating the inner life of a much more heartbreaking character.

3.5 stars for me. This was a sweet read and truly you felt sorry for charlotte and wanted her to stick up for herself and tell mr Collins that he is ridiculous. This felt like a commentary on social classes and marriage in the Regency period.

A great read for Austen fans. It expands on the characters in beautiful, realistic ways.
