I didn't remember reading this until I just went over all the books I listed on The Other Book Site and now that I remember it:
1. I want to re-read it immediately
2. I *really* want to know if they ever made a sequel

YA Shakespeare mash up. A white Minnesota high school junior drama nerd wakes up after a skiing accident and sees Shakespeare and some of his characters talking to her. Desperate to get back to the school production of Midsummer Nights Dream to play Titania, she doesn’t tell her family about the hallucinations. Plus a large dose of R and J and Hamlet. Fun popcorn read that I devoured in one sitting.

Ok first off...I loved this book. I was enthralled and it was a page turner. I couldn't put it down! Then I came to the end and honestly... I don't have one clue about what happened. I don't get it...I'm so confused. I still loved this book...a lot but I'm not sure what it all means...geez.

I loved the idea but I really did not like the main character or the ending.

when i first saw this in the bookstore, i was really intrigued by the cover and turning over to read the short summary it had provided at the back, learning it deals with shakespeare and hallucination, i was sold but what i failed to notice was that this turned out to be a YA romance too and there is nothing more which i dread than this. what's worse was that it had a love triangle and pierce caplan just creeped me out and seemed like an abusive person but jaye keeps going back to him anyway, i don't even know anymore.

it could've been much better without the unnecessary romance/love triangle and if it had included more scenes of jaye hallucinating shakespeare characters.

What I thought this novel would be based on the premise: a dark psychological study of a fragile and possibly damaged mind using Shakespeare as a guide to deal with her issues, the same way Dante was guided by Virgil in Inferno.

What I got: Protagonist Jaye plays the "let's make bad decisions!" game a dozen or so times with two guys in a love triangle, popular Shakespeare characters are mentioned for symbolism but the play is not the thing.

I loved this book! Beautifully written and absolutely unique. I was disappointed to realize that I had reached the last page.

I think that if I had known more Shakespeare this would have been a better fit for me, but alas I did not. That being said, I still enjoyed the book and the plot (though at some points it was cheesy). I would recommend this to someone who is up-to-date on their Shakespeare because the book is riddled with lines from his most famous plays.

A tragedy Shakespeare would approve of and mental illness rolled into a wonderful package and very good book!
