This book was so much fun! Combining regency England with magic is just genius and I can't believe it took me so long to discover this book. Huge shoutout to my coworker for lending it to me. If you're a fan of Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling, do yourself a favor and track down this book. You won't be disappointed.

I just finished rereading this book again (so many rereads of this one). I love the method in which this book was written, and the manner in which it presents itself as letters between two cousins. It has a fairly straightforward plot line, but with unusual delivery of that plot. And the relationships between the main writers and their counterparts is quite amusing. I do occasionally find the language of the gentlemen particularly condescending (I would not appreciate being called a "half-wit"), but the ladies seem unphased and had their own type of condescension towards the gentlemen as well.

Reminded me of Jane Austin, but with magic. I devoured it. I love how these two women went about writing this story.

I really enjoyed this, despite the predictable ending. I look forward to getting the next one, though I'm not sure how a second book will play out.
