Okay, seeing a lot of reviews making fun of the miscommunication trope in this book and I get it. I really do. Miscommunication is a shitty trope. But I honestly didn't even notice the trope was being used until I read other reviews. I guess that was not the biggest part of the situation, because even if they did talk, which they do, it doesn't actually change the over all sincerio. Like, it doesn't fix his issue with his friend, or her issue. There was a lot of work to be done to actually get back. OKAY anywho.

Genuinely love Elle Kennedy and will forever. This book had me dying of laughter. I think we definitely deserve a curvy girl on the cover. I went through all of the cover designs for this book and all of them are skinny blonde girls. Which, sure, Taylor is blonde but she's curvy! It's literally a huge thing in the book. And to not give us a curvy girl on the cover is cruel. For shame.

One thing I really liked about this book was how no strings were left loose. I thought the book was over with 30% left and found myself wondering what else they had to say and then they went back and fixed up every little plot hole in a beautiful way. Love it. God I hope she never stops.

In this book we follow insecure sorority girl Taylor as she completes a dare to seduce our main man Mr Conor Fucking Edwards. After going upstairs and pretending to have sex for the others to hear, we witness their whirlwind of fake dating as they quickly grow attached to each other and it is a classic case, IMO, of the guy falling first because this man was whipped for her the second he laid eyes on her and it was adorable. We see as they work on their feelings and friendships alongside hockey and their own family dramas and situations (such as Taylor’s mum dating Brenna’s dad the coach) and despite their ups and downs they end up together, stronger than ever. I was so upset when they went on their two ‘breaks’ because they are both just so hurt and don’t actually want to hurt the other but see no other way out which makes it even more heart breaking but I love that they eventually talked about it and got back together and also the implication of them living with Hunter and Demi? Yes please.

I adored this book and I just want to protect these two with all of my heart. There were moments I didn’t like as much, as with any book, but I overall liked the storyline and I just loved seeing how whipped Conor was from the very beginning and it just made me love even more if that is even possible. I loved the characters development that we got from both Taylor and Conor in terms of standing up for themselves and against their pasts to become better people to both themselves and each other and I just ugh. I fucking love all of these books I am so sad it’s over.
