2.5: The story concept was interesting but the pacing could’ve been better executed. Also, all the “mystery” could’ve been better too, didn’t give enough clues to the audience to figure things out and was making leaps and bounds to get to the next plot point. We get it, “don’t trust anybody” but wait, maybe trust that guy? And I have a huge secret, but haha figure it out and THEN I can tell you. I wanted this to be good! I have hope the next book in the series will show improvement?

I truly enjoyed Dirty Lying Faeries for the weird wonderful adventure that it was. I came to this book at a strange time in my reading journey, not looking for or interested in any books in particular, but when I picked this one up, I DEVOURED it. Dirty Lying Faeries was exactly the paranormal romance with tropey fated mates and classic four seasonal courts of the fae that I wanted it to be. I loved Thea as our main character and her relationship with Devin, the handsome art gallery owner was swoon-worthy. If you want a light, quick romp through fae territory this one is for you. I rate this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

After reading the Wylde series, I was pretty disappointed in this book, the characters, the plotline, it was no where near the quality of Half Wylde.

This was a fun book to read on my vacation. By no means was this book mind-blowing, but it has an interesting FMC who develops some pretty cool powers. I just wish she had developed her powers earlier, she seemed like quite the damsel in distress throughout the majority of the book. I am just more partial to a FMC who can kick a little bit more ass, especially in a fantasy novel. The fae world is a bit different in this book than in other Fae based fantasies I've read, and I've got to admit, I am definitely curious to see where this all leads. Bring on the next book!

Thea is dragged to an art gallery event by her extrovert fashion writer friend. She meets a mysterious man and starts seeing things soon after. Then she's told she's changed to a fae and must choose which of the courts to settle in.
Kind of an interesting (if not new) premise at the start but really quickly fizzled for me. The writing was just kind of meh, the characters lacked depth. Thea just seemed to react completely perfectly in every situation. It was a bit 50 shades coded without the spice.
It kind of bothered me how much she fawned over apologizing for "keeping things" from Devin, I think she had a right to be suspicious of this sudden new world she was a part of??
As a note - the description for this book is incorrect?? She HAS always been human and is changed by magic

This is a wonderful beginning for what I hope will be many interconnected series. This was a new spin on the Fae courts for me and it was a fresh story. I've never read anything like this one. I can't wait to read about more couples in the next books. Sabrina Blackberry may be new to fantasy but she is a most welcome addition in my opinion. I would highly recommend!
