"He’s dominating, possessive, and downright controlling sometimes. " I couldnt find this anywhere in the book. Disappointing those characters were not in the book but the story was good.

I'm addicted to this series. Every book is better than the last. I have yet to be disappointed by these authors. Their writing together is seamless and their storylines always hook me. This book was no different. It hit me with all of the emotions and did not let up. This book was a roller coaster of emotions that I did not want to end. I definitely hope J.L. Beck and C. Hallman continue this series as I will never tire of them. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.

I have been anxious for Lex’s book ever since I met him when I read The Vow, and the wait was worth it.

If accidental babies are your jam, you will love this book. Lex is ALL the things, I love him so much. It has an element of suspense to it too. Once I started, I couldn’t help but keep turning the pages. I was hooked on their story. For those that have been reading the series, you will love seeing the other characters during their HEAs.

Ok I can genuinely say this was not a book for me. I randomly picked this up without looking too much into it. I just wanted to listen to something with teddy hamilton, that was probably my mistake.

This could potentially be a great story for some but it literally touched all the tropes I am not a fan of.

Insta love - MMC practically falls in love with FMC during that first one-night-stand

I did not expect this story!  It was so much deeper than I thought it would be.  The Promise is the story of Jude and Lex; it is such a good story.  In the beginnings I found Jude annoying, and then I had to remind myself of her background.  When the plot delved deeper into her upbring, I just wanted to cry for her and wrap her up in a hug.  There was so much more to this than just romance and spice.  Though it is a short novel, there is a lot going on; all of it intriguing.  I'm patting myself on the back for picking it!
