[SPOILERS ahead]

⁃ Prequel
⁃ M/F series
⁃ Heartbreaking ending.
⁃ WTF backstabbing!
⁃ Sister swap idea

Triggers:
⁃ Collaring
⁃ Enslavement
⁃ Violence

I love a good sister swap novel. Kyra, a powerful healer, noticed that her sister caught the eye of the cruel king, and she was determined to catch his attention with her own seduction powers, but it failed. In desperation as they left the castle, Kyra made a deal with the trickster god, which seemed to save them at first.

But careful what you wish for. Kyra’s attempt to save her sister became an assassination attempt, and my respect for her dived into a puddle of contempt. Healers by nature have traditionally been depicted as selfless, brave, and devoted to life. I was hoping for a moral hero and instead watched her knife someone until blood coated the walls. I was disgusted.

Her sacrifice left her captive to the king’s sorceror, and she became collared and caged in gold.

What a novella! Maybe a spoiler…
This novella reminded me a lot of the MFC in the Korean drama -See You In My 19th Life where both these characters had a strong love for their sisters and vengeance was their name.
I loved this novella and now want to read the first novel A Game Of Malice and Greed.

This is technically a novella but I’m still counting it because it was long lol. So excited to start my journey through the twisted sisters new world! This was just a taste of that world but was soooo good already.

The Twisted Sisters are playing their usual games!!

An amazing intro to a whole new world from the twisted sisters! Such amazing detail when it comes to both world and character building. But then I expect nothing less from the twisted sisters! Ofcourse we get the expected heart wrenching cliffhanger ending. Soo many emotions in such a short amount of pages. But damn has it got me excited for this storyline! I can’t wait to see what happens.

Interesting prequel to the Game of Malice and Greed series. The scenery was nice with a sort of fae/god world. Started a bit slow and had some predictability but once things get going, the story paints a nice introduction to the series without the reader really knowing where the story will go but giving a character we will want to follow and root for in Kyra. What will her fall mean and will she be able to be free?
