If being a kid is about learning how to live, then being a grown-up is about learning how to die

I'm judging this one more on personal preference than the actual quality of the book.

I really didn't like how this book was written; the slang was off-putting, the references went way over my head, the book is very long and I found the pacing very slow.

I didn't mind the concept - I like the movie well enough - but I didn't think that it was very scary.

This one easily earns the title of my least favourite Stephen King book.

This is one of the few older King books that I haven't read yet and it's another one that I am mad I put off for so long. I was skeptical that I was going to absolutely love an almost 650 page book about a car that comes to life and murders people but I should have put my faith in King because he rarely disappoints. A big theme in this book is friendship and it is a theme I gravitate very hard towards and love when it is executed properly like in this book. I could see people having pacing issues with this one as it is a very slow start but I loved it. I also loved that 2/3 of the novel is written in first person while the middle third is third person. It is an interesting writing technique that I think could go poorly but works in this circumstance. This honestly might be one of my top five King works if I really think about it simply because of the ending. The last part of the last chapter and the epilogue hit me like a ton of bricks and left me both blubbering and with my mouth ajar. For fear of spoilers, I won't mention anything else but just know that I think this is one of King's best endings. I wouldn't recommend people start with this as their first King book but if you are a King reader and somehow have not read this one, it is definitely worth it.

Stephen King is such a good storyteller and I really don't know how to put it any other way than that. Also the last two lines were so good and final without completely ending the story

Good at making Christine scary, but too slow paced for my taste.
