Format:
Audiobook

Overall:
I am eating this book TF UP. Definitely not dark, like my usual read, but I am so in love with the story. I really need, oh boy, to start acting on some of the vile things he says, tho. I have about 3.5 hours left in the book, and though he rocks Poppy's little world.. I need MORE from him. I need the dark and depraved he hints at throughout the story. I immediately bought the other audio. I even talked to my husband (his first language is Spanish) about this book, so he thinks I'm getting some Jesus in my life. LOL. Now that I am almost done... I loved this book even though I was so ready to fight Poppy.

I didn’t like the FMC. The story ending was mediocre at best which is sad because it started off strong. I found myself struggling on the last 60 pages or so.

The Catholic in me struggled a little but Jacob Morgan drove it over the finish line for me.

Yay for buddy reads! So grateful me and my bestie Kristen decided on a whim to pick this one up together! I forgot how fun a buddy read is when you can actually chat to people in real time about how you’re vibing with the book.

This one follows Father Bell and Miss Poppy Danforth, the new arrival to Father Bell’s small town and boy does this disrupt his life.

Look there’s 0% plot in this one and 100% spice but I’m not mad. It was just what I needed when I picked it up and I’d do it again.

The last 20% really threw me and I’m still not sure exactly how I feel about the characters whether I love them or hate them or hate to love them vibes ya know?

If you want a break from cute rom coms or emotional damage books and happy for the spice then be sure to give this one a go!
