Short but sweet, I enjoyed this. The auction was a fun set up and I really believed the relationship between Beau and Lily. I really must read more from Sarah Mayberry!

What a great kick-off to this new series. Sparks fly in more ways than one when Lily and Beau are together. Great storyline, sexy and delicious.

This book made no sense. It's #1 in the series but seems like a spin off of something else or we're just supposed to know the background on these characters. The rape/assault sub-plot was not needed and the romance wasn't great. Instalove is fine and all but this was over the top.

This was also free on Kobo so I one-clicked it LMAO
ANYWAY,
this was so much fun! I admit I wasn't expecting much so I was surprised to find that it was enjoyable. The story started with our girl Lily recruiting her best friend's older brother Beau (I love the name Beau, I dunno why) for a bachelor auction to raise funds for another close friend of hers, whose son had an accident. Beau and Lily didn't really mix; Lily always thought Beau hated her because he was always so cold with her and keeping a distance, and they normally went out of the way to avoid one another. Except in a turn of events, Lily bought the bid for Beau in the auction, and at Beau's insistence, went out on a ski date with him.
I love the banter between Lily and Beau! And I love that there isn't unnecessary drama in the romance; adults are being adults, upfront with each other, so that was nice. Also: SEXY TIMES.
Probably gonna check the rest of the bachelors' stories hmmmmm

I really liked the characters in this book but I didn't like the ending that much. I would recommend it.
