2.5, it was a bit boring but okay read! Again don’t mind the goodreads star rating i hate it.
Foster was cute and chill and i liked him. Zach was… a lot. They were cute. Very vanilla, not lots of fun dynamics and tension but wholesome nonetheless.

Foster and Zach, the quiet shy guy and the confident hockey player, brothers best friend, amazing trope.Foster really stood no chance when it came to Zach, the beautiful brilliant shy guy,he was always going to fall for him.It was an amazing swoon read.

Both authors are new to me, which always makes me a bit nervous so this sat on my To Be Read shelf for a little while. I also was hesitant because although the book checked off a lot of my favorite themes: hockey, college, virgins, etc., for some reason the summary also had my cheesiness meter on high alert. I decided to take a chance and am so pleased I did, because this book was exactly what I was hoping for. Foster was confident and levelheaded, but never rude or reckless. And Zach was nerdy and awkward, but in an endearing way, not a naïve and gullible. I liked how the relationship developed over the school year and banter between the two MCs was cute and fun, much how you would expect a relationship between college sweethearts to be. There wasn’t any excessive drauma and the conflicts were realistic and manageable. I also quite enjoyed how patient Foster was with Zach having so much less sexual experience. Seeing Zach being shy and awkward added to the realism and ended up just making it hotter. Overall, my worries were for naught, since this book not even close to being cheesy and the authors did an excellent job. I’m totally sold on this series and I am looking forward to the next.
