If you're craving for a cheesy sweet romance read without spice, this is a perfect book to pick up. You'll get people on the brink of adulthood finding out what they think of love and themselves in it – together with someone who can make them feel seen. The repeated Valentine's days give a perfect testing ground for different outlooks on life and yourself, and even the
eventual and predictable end to the repeat
offers new insights for the main characters.

Regardless of this lighter main plot, the story also touches deeper topics of loneliness, loss, and difficult family dynamics – all without making the book feel too heavy. These topics offer a great perspective to difficulties in life: not everything is easy in life, but you'll get through the harder things and you don't have to do it alone. Even the biggest struggles can be resolved when you open up about them to someone and get the right kind of help. That is such a great message for a YA book to convey.

I had a blast with this book!

Enjoyable story and a fast read. Unremarkable overall and had some issues with the plot at the end. I like that this author writes stories that take place in Omaha, NE, rather than some giant city on the coast, but her characters feel a bit copy-and-paste across her books.

Just the cutest Valentines themed Groundhog Day scenario! 🥰

I didn’t expect to enjoy a PG high school romance so much but dang it… I loved every minute of it.

The story for both MC’s was surprisingly deep as well as sad. Having a brother die so suddenly and tragically… and having divorced parents who barely pay attention… both are pretty awful circumstances but the character development that these situations provided was fantastic.

The repeating day really has to be done right to be enjoyable instead of boring and she absolutely nailed it on this one.

That DONC was WILD! I think that was the most anxiety inducing part was knowing that obviously this was the day that was going to reset everything. Really it was the cherry on top.

“I fell in love with you on Valentine’s Day, Emilie, but I need more than just seven minutes.”

Such a cute read!!!💓💓💓

I enjoyed so much, I laughed and smiled but also almost cried.
I felt identified with both of them, Em and Nick, I love them🫶🏻

“For
The Lonely,
The Daydreamers,
The ones who find their friends between the pages of books—
YOU MATTER, and your happy ending WILL come. Sometimes the wait is just longer in real life than in fiction.”

“I adored my dad.He just sometimes forgot about me if I wasn’t standing right in front of him.” x2

“Love is not what is, but what isn’t.”

“I was fascinated by people whose parents were still together. It seemed surreal and impossibly beautiful to me, the idea of living out all of your childhood years with both parents, together in the same house.” x2

“Existence is the default. Merely existing, emotionally, is the baseline. Happy is, like, this floating, fluid thing that’s impossible to hold on to. Elusive as fuck. Sometimes you get lucky and have it, but it’s only a matter of time before it slips back out of your hands.”

“Then, um, I have to confess that I think I’m obsessed with you. With this.” I swallowed and said, “With us.”

“I like knowing you, Emilie Hornby.”
