Loved this series but this ending! I don't know...I'm highly conflicted and have tried to come terms with it but found it less than satisfying.

I don't know what to think, I liked the whole book but HATED the ending. Not the best trilogy I've read but I'm still glad I didn't give up after the first book.

Very confused. Need to think about it for a while before I can decide if I liked the ending or not.

*Edit* So I thought about it, and I think I'm on board.

Maybe it's a 3.5 but I can't decide

I'm so so so deeply sad right now. This has been one of my all-time favorite series and I think the first two books are masterpieces, but this one just stumbled and fell on the ending. It could have ended any other way and I think I would have been happy, but this ending is one of my ultimate pet peeves in terms of fictional worlds. It frustrates me like nothing else does and I can't get over it.

The rest of this book stands up with the series. There are still new characters that are interesting, still a morally gray main character who is so flawed and fascinating and strong. And it was seriously terrifying a few times. If not for the ending this would have been a nearly perfect series. But the ending. Oh, the ending. I'll just be crying forever now.

I have to say I don’t know how I feel about this book. I absolutely loved the first two and was hoping that it would continue with the same passion. However that wasn’t really the case. Then last few chapters felt very rushed and the ended was a let down in my opinion.

Still I believe it’s a good series. I believe they’re working on an adaptation for a movie series, so hopefully they don’t ruin that.

This book was an okay read, but a disappointing conclusion to the series.

I have always enjoyed the show of consequences to any action/choice, and can even accept the consequences Kelsea is faced with in the conclusion, but the drastic change in characters' personalities/choices, abrupt introduction of convenient powers, discarded side storylines, and holes/imcompletion in the main plot were increadibly frustrating. It really just felt like the author didn't know how to wrap up the story and  patchworked some stuff together, leaving gaping holes.

I am excited and nervous to read this one. I loved the first 2. I hope this one is just as good. I am sad it is the last one. I don't want the series to end.

Here I go....

Wow..... What a book!!! Not the ending I thought it would have. Totally different. I am not sure how I feel about it. I will have to think on it. But over all I loved the book and the whole series. ! I can't wait to re-read this series. I have a feeling it will be ever better the second time around.

Loved this book up until we got to the ending...... felt like such a cop-out and turned all of my favorite characters into lame suburbanite mush. If I want to see lame suburbanite mush, I can just look out my window.

I wrote a different ending in my head where Kelsea and the Red Queen defeat Row before she has to kill RQ and then Kelsea starts doing the hard work of uniting Mort & Tear and promoting literacy and science. Also, Aisa lives.

It wasn't the ending I wanted, but I found it poetic and moving. A wonderful series!
