The plot is very fast and engaging, definitely a page turner as you need to know what is next… however, the writing and both character and plot development are incredibly subpar. Choppy writing, you don’t get to know the characters well. It is surface level at best. There is intense mystery, which I enjoy because you walk away not knowing the true answers, but I feel the writing and plot should have been developed enough to leave you satisfied with the mystery.

I don’t think much of Colleen’s writing, she’s not the best author I’ve read from. But I have to give her this, she has a great and disturbed imagination that can come up with flawed characters like these ones. I read this book for a school project and all I can say is, I have ALOT to talk about….

I enjoyed reading this. The premise is intriguing and I thought that the plot was gripping; and CoHo definitely knows how to write unlikeable characters. However, the prose was a little too simplistic, the sex scenes were cringey (although that may have been somewhat deliberate…) and the ending, although I like that it was left ambiguous, felt a bit abrupt.
