I absolutely loved this novel. I am not typically one for verse novels, but I read the description and just had to read it. I am so glad I did.
Nima feels like she doesn’t fit in anywhere except with Haitham, her best friend. Until they fight and she doesn’t fit in with him any longer. Suddenly, Haitham is in the hospital, struggling for life, and Nima breaks. There she meets Yasmeen - herself in a parallel life. Except she isn’t.
This book was beautiful. I appreciated Nima’s way of describing her loneliness and isolation. I savored the beautiful language and the broken lines. The description of Nima’s mother’s homeland made me long for a country I’d never seen. I absolutely loved it from start to finish.

This was so freaking good. I loved the writing, the characters, and the fantastical magic realism elements. Audio narration was absolute perfection too!
