Cute holiday novella! If I'm going to read holiday based stories, I'd rather it be a short and sweet novella so it's not too syrupy sweet lol This was a cute short story about a woman who hires a guy to be her BF. Super entertaining and if you're in the mood for something Christmasy yet romantic, this is it!

Holiday for Hire is a super quick, fun holiday novella. Jane is obsessed with Christmas, a girl after my own heart, and she needs a date to her ex’s Christmas Eve wedding, which is where Ian comes into play. He is a wedding date for hire, however, he isn’t what Jane expected. He doesn’t fit in with the crowd she know will be at the wedding so they start to spend time together prior to the event.

I loved Jane and Ian. Their chemistry and the fact that Ian brings Jane out of her shelf and gets her to live a little. I loved that Ian the exact opposite of what Jane views as the perfect man, the perfect husband. All the time they spent together, getting to know each other was so much fun to read.

If you’re looking for a super quick, sweet Holiday novella with a Christmas loving heroine and an Irish hero this is definitely one to check out.

2.5 stars. Something about this story felt a little stilted and I couldn't get into it.

Not a massive fan of holiday reads, but Laurelin Paige is a favorite of mine and Kayti McGee is a new to me author that I have wanted to read for a while now.

Jane was dumped by someone she thought she would end up marrying. It ticked all the right boxes,... Until he left her. So like most, she picked herself back up and tried to move forward. It wasn't until she got an invite to the wedding that she knew she had to find someone to take with her...

So that's when she goes and hires a fake date.

Enters Ian. He hasn't had the best luck, but he gives life his all. But in no way were these two expecting what they got out of this arrangement. It was meant to be an arrangement but lines get blurred and connections are made.

This was a short, entertaining, sexy and fun read. I rather enjoyed it and wish there was more. It was short but didn't really lack for much. It was the perfect, easy and fun read and perfect for the holidays!

Jiminy Christmas! I loved this quick, funny novella.

It made me want to eat gingerbread and make snow angels then drink hot chocolate whilst watching Colin Farrell’s sex tape (what you didn’t know such a thing existed? It is a thing of wonder and beauty and must be googled when the kids are out of the house).

Jilted Jane meets Colin lookalike Ian. They both love Christmas and she just happens to need help to erect her tree and arrange her baubles.

I love the combination of Kayti and Laurelin’s writing. It made me chortle even if I did want to strangle Jane with the tinsel and shove the Elf on the shelf where the sun don’t shine!

A perfect cold November Saturday afternoon read for me. Now back to the Christmas shopping I go after a trip down memory lane with Colin.

I really enjoyed "Holiday for Hire," a fun holiday-themed twist on the classic "My Fair Lady." The story was short, sweet, and amusing with some pretty great double entendres that made me laugh out loud.

I didn't find Jane, the female lead character, to be very likeable or relatable at first, but her relationship with the male lead character, Ian, really humanized her. She was so snobby and focused on all of the wrong things until he came along and shook up her world.

On the other hand, I really liked Ian immediately. He seemed like a good-hearted guy who was down on his luck after having given up his chance at college to help support his family. I loved that Ian had such a happy, positive outlook on life despite his situation, and he definitely deserved to have good things happen for him.

Overall, this was a nice, quick read that did a good job of getting me into the Christmas spirit, and I would recommend it.

A sweet short holiday read. Two people couldn't be anymore different. But Ian's exactly who Jane need, who is pretty much alone with no family or real friends. Despite having raised with money, she never thought Ian would make her feel fulfilled and complete.
