I downloaded this as soon as it was released and I spent all of release day reading it!
I’m absolutely obsessed with Luce and Elliot!
This was wonderfully written, spicy, emotional, and full of angst! I loved how you still got pieces of the lives of characters from The Promise Duet Series.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

JC Hawke hit it out of the park with this book!

Absolute perfection!

This book is fantastic. I loved Elliot and Lucy’s story. It was a rollercoaster at times, but that just meant you got to see it grow organically. The side characters are all great and used in a way that they add to the story but don’t distract from it. A little less spice than the first 2 books in this series, which I preferred, and some great banter and humor between all the characters.

Dnf at 40%. So slooooow. And definitely didn’t seem like the 1st of a series. So many names with so little explanation.

First third and back third we’re good. But the FMC was so indecisive and annoying in the middle. It rubbed me the wrong way.

Another bad TikTok rec, why am I not surprised? The most boring main character who needs her hand held at all times…

what?

What the hell did I just spend so long reading? Absolute crap, or bollocks as the Brits say. This book was so popular on TT and IG but is simply awful. There’s trash characters, the final third of the book is rushing to cleanly tie up all the random ends from the first two thirds. It’s a mess.
