Disgusted at the foul language!!
I will go ahead and confess that I did not finish this book. I read until chapter two, but could not take all the foul language! This is supposed to be a Christian book! I understand that some authors think the addition of curse words makes it more “realistic,” but if I wanted to read that, then I would read main-stream books! Christian books, in my opinion, should be clean. Please, say “he cursed” or something like that - it gets the point across just as well!
I was also extremely disappointed in the heroine. (SPOILER ALERT!) She wakes up in bed with someone, but isn’t upset about that! She was upset about who she woke up beside. And even though we learn in detail that nothing happened between them, I just lost all compassion or respect for her. Perhaps she came to be a Christian by the end of the book, which would cause it to be labeled Christian, but I wish there would have been a warning or a note about the language.
I received this book through The Book Club Network for my honest review, which I have given. I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.

I’m not sure how to begin this review because while I would have liked it there were elements that I just couldn’t get over with this being a Christian fiction book. I thought that Bay and Flynn were strong characters and well developed as was the plot line and I did enjoy it however I my reservations lie in the fact that Bay woke up in bed with an ex-boyfriend (even if they didn’t do anything), Bay seems concerned about modesty by yet wears revealing bikinis, see through shirts and other immodest clothing and then there is some cussing (however some words my husband wouldn’t classify as cussing, but I do).

Even after Bay becomes a Christian she still sports clothing that tempts Flynn even after he asks her to change. There is also a scene where they are laying on top of each other – at this point they are in love but they aren’t married and put themselves in a very tempting situation. I’m sure some would say I’m nitpicking however, no matter if I use the justification that she wasn’t saved before and that even Christians are tempted, it isn’t a book that I’d recommend to my friends. Had some of this not been included it would have been a great book but it had to many things that I just was not comfortable with reading.

**Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion, no other compensation was given.

Back to Resolution by Rose Dee starts off at Bay’s mother’s funeral. I have to admit at the beginning of the book I was not intrigued but as I continued to read I became pulled in. By the time Bay was on her way to New Queensland, where she grew up I was interested to see what was going to happen next and I finished the book in one sitting.

Bay returns to Australia after her mother dies and she is a freelance photographer. While there she wants to find her father, who she hasn’t seen since she was four. Instead of coming across him on the island, she finds Flynn. Throughout the book Bay begins to talk to God and rebuild her relationship with him. Bay and Flynn’s relationship grows and they search to find Bay’s father.

I really enjoyed this book; it was full was romance, mystery, and adventure. All of the sub-plots followed the main idea of the book and it was easy to follow. I was excited when I found out that there is going to be a second book, Beyond Resolution.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookCrash.com book review program, which requires an honest, though not necessarily positive, review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
