Jasper is a part of the Eaton family. The "adopted" son after his parents abandoned him as a teen. He has always been treated like family, that's why it's awkward that everyone calls Sloane his cousin. In all ways that make family she is a cousin, but in blood she's not. They have always called each other friends.
When Sloane is all set to get married to a douche name Sterling, Jasper starts to realize he may have messed this all up. He wants her as more than a friend, but doesn't know how to even begin that conversation. Sloane has loved Jasper since she first laid eyes on him, but how do you tell someone that your childhood crush never really went away.
Their support for each other was essential. Even if they didn't agree with what the other was doing they always tried to help them do the best they could
