This is the first mystery where Russell hasn't really poked her nose in out of her own curiosity - she's pulled into it by her husband, and this conflict is new.

Not as good as previous entries but I do enjoy Mary and Holmes' interactions.

Oh. So very good. So very chilling, and unique - despite the obvious reason why it wouldn't be. Another delightful installation of Russell and Holmes's adventures.

Another solid addition to the series. The hints of romance still make me twitch (romance not fitting in to my Sherlock Holmes worldview), but it's a fine example of detection.

Reading this book didn't take much time. The tone, pace and plot were all good. The book is dense, but doesn't feel that way. I like how Mary is evolving. It want as good as the last two, but it was enjoyable. Worth the read.
