At first I was a little nervous to start this next book after reading The Assassins Blade. (if you know you know.) But it was incredible!

Without talking too much about like literally the whole thing, I wasn't expecting anything actually. None of it at all. It just kind of jumped out and it felt so random, but not in a bad way, I'd say its more like a shocking topic added in the plot that I ABSOLUTELY adore! It was such a fun read and there was a lot going on I didn't want to put it down. And honestly I didn't.

And the introductory to magic was just- AHHHH! SO COOL!

This was good. I feel like reading ACOTAR first gave me really high expectations but I am keeping in mind that this is the author’s first book and she began writing it when she was a teenager. I do still plan on reading the rest of the series.

A bit predictable but, nonetheless, enjoyable. Definitely intriguing enough to make me want to continue reading the next book in the series!

How in the world did I wait so long to read this book?!?!?This was a fantastic read! This was action packed and exciting. I loved Celaena as a lead character. She’s strong, a little prickly, and thinks for herself. I enjoyed the overall mystery of the storyline and the magic. If you didn’t really jive with ACOTAR like me, I would highly encourage you to try ToG. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
