Reading this wasn't easy, but I was invested in Rachel's story the entire way through. There were a lot of hard-hitting moments that resonated with me. Some chapters made me uncomfortable but I knew they were necessary for her recovery. Overall, this book made me feel many emotions, which I enjoyed. I hope to read more memoirs about mental health in the future and see different perspectives and journies.
I'm not a religious person and religious undertones make me uncomfortable, so the chapter whereshe accepts God had me feeling weird . It did give me some insight into what can fill someone with faith so there's that at least.

Initially very interesting, but then just repetitive. And I never really liked the main character, but I guess that's about on par for a book about borderline personality disorder.

This was okay. As someone with BPD, I was disappointed with how little the disorder was mentioned. I wasn’t a fan of the religious content either but that’s a personal preference. If you’re reading this to learn and see how BPD can manifest in a person, this might be the right book for you. If you are looking to get knowledge about the disorder, I would look elsewhere.
