Androgynous gem people live on an island. Each one is made of a different mineral. Minerals have different hardness; some break easily. People from the moon show up to fight them, but they don't know why (yet). When they fight, they can break, and some are very fragile. Due to the island's vastness, at times, others are unaware that some are in conflict with the moon people. If the gem people lose the battle, the moon people take them away forever. When one of them is taken away, their friends get sad. Phosphorite is a relatively new gem person, happy and innocent. Phos has low hardness level and breaks easily, yet they still wish they could fight the moon people. Their goal is to help everyone and save their friends. So Phos does everything they can to uncover the motives behind the moon people's actions.

This was a decent story. Interesting ideas, but I had a hard time telling the different characters apart from each other because a few of them looked very similar, and there wasn’t much character development. I’ll keep reading because the story is interesting enough, but none of the characters wowed me. Granted, it’s the first manga in the series, so a lot of the character development will likely become stronger as a series progresses.
