Very interesting concept and world. The art style is really pretty but it’s also hard to make out what’s going on. Some parts were hard to understand for example during the fight scenes. Maybe it was the translation I read but the writing was nothing special. But it is the first vol so I’ll keep reading before I give a definitive opinion.

Maybe I should reread it again? I have a feeling I missed something crucial here

This was handed to me by my brother without much comment, which I feel this manga kind of needs. It’s not bad, I simply don’t understand the meaning, it doesn’t have any kind of impact to me. I understand the concept and the more technical aspects, but story wise it’s not compelling nor relatable.

The art style is really not to my tastes, it‘s hard to identify characters, with few exceptions. The long spindly like limbs and bodies of everyone also feel off. I’m fully aware that they’re not human, but they look human enough that the whole look comes off as disturbing.

Judging the whole series by this first book I’m not ready to do yet however; I will read more and see if there’s something I’m missing. And maybe the artwork just needs some getting used to.
