As usual Ghosh's writing is lovely, but the content here wasn't as powerful as I had anticipated. I liked the way he pressed on about the role that empire played in creating our climate catastrophe - above and beyond capitalism. But the literary realm I felt was too far afield. Too much attention devoted to exploring that realm, including his own writing.

Not quite what I was expecting (I thought there would be more on literature), but very clear-sighted.

I wanted to, but I didn't feel like I was getting very much out of it

I really loved the insightful analysis not only of the physical affects of climate change, but its impacts on (and how it is impacted by) our politics and history, imperialism, colonialism, and art
