This book gave me more Warner content, which I loved, but really not much happened. Except that eventually new information, which really felt like it came out of nowhere (which made it feel a little too out there), was revealed that turned everything on its head. Also I'm not terribly sure why we put Juliette in charge with her total experience of none.

It would be a wonderful book if only it didn't have all the unnecessary and unrealistic drama between Warner and Juliette.  SPOILERS!
There is only two things they fight about:

1) “oh, I don’t know you at all, it scares me, I barely know who you are.. “
you only been dating for like few month… not even a year! You can’t possibly know the person in such a short amount of time 🙄

2) “oh, you lied to me, I’m so mad at you, You didn't tell me I was adopted. We are breaking up”
🤦🏼‍♀️ He can’t possibly tell you everything you wish to know at such a short period of time.. A lot of things just haven't came up yet! Jesus! And the only one thing he ACTUALLY kept from you was just to protect you from unnecessary heartbreak.

This just ruined the book for me. The plot twist themselves were amazing and enough to give it 5 stars, but I felt myself rolling my eyes half of the book just because of  Warner's and Juliette's relationship.

Honestly other than the end, this book was a snooze. I'm not sure I could tell you anything that happened that was super significant. I adore Juliette but this entire book was just like a backtrack from the last one. Warner has seemed to evolve so thats cool. I'm hoping the next book is better.

OMG!!!! I absolutely loved this book. Juliette's character development was very perfectly written. And even Aaron is trying to be a little polite ro others for Juliette's sake.

The book contains lots of REVELATION! (sadly for me I've already known about it because well people love to spoil other's experience of a book). But, even after I knew the spoiler not for once I was bored or anything. I was totally intrigued and hooked with the story from starting to the very end.

The characters, the chemistry between Aaron and Juliette, Kenji and Juliette's friendship, the shocking revelations, the Worldbuilding🤌— Tahereh Mafi did it Again!!!

I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!

Happy reading🌷.

I am so happy that the author continued writing the series, because this was the best book so far. The author is really making good changes for the series, and I could see the next books being 5 stars.

First, I will talk about why this book wasn't 5 stars. I felt like the beginning was boring. I wasn't hooked. For me a 5 star has to be amazing front to back. Once you get past like 20% the book really picks up.

It is a little politic heavy, so if you don't like that you might not like this book as much as I did. My favorite thing in books like this is the politics; I have always said that I wished the series focused more on the politics and the world, not the romance. This book was that. Less romance and more politics. Just the perfect balance.

I feel like the whole series we have been talking about how Warner wasn't being fully transparent with Juliette. We got some of the mysteries of Warners past. I really feel like we got some serious character development with Warner. I am really glad that we are getting character development from the both of them. Mostlikely in the later books this will just strengthen their relationship.

We have to address the elephant in the room, that plot twist......... I did not in a million years see that coming. I am VERY interested to see where this goes. I think it could make for a very interesting story line.

With that ending I am rushing to jump right into the next one. She definitely has me hooked now.
