This title caught my attention and then when I read the cheating alert, I was all in. I enjoyed the hell out of of this book. It was sexy and full of chemistry. It might not be a book for everyone so read the warning. My biggest peeve is when the author tells people it CONTAINS CHEATING, they read it and then 1 star it for cheating, WTF!!!

I will admit that I have never read a book from Gemma James before, and the only reason I was drawn to this book was because of the sexy cover and blurb. I am really glad that I took a chance on a new to me author though as I couldn't put this book down! This book had so much of what I look for, and I cannot wait for the next one!

With her life in ruins, Jules heads to Seattle to start over. But things get off to a rough start when the sexy stranger she finds herself captivated with on her flight turns out to be none other than her new and married boss. She knows that she can't go there after everything she just left behind, but she has never felt the way she feels about Cash with anyone else.

I know that some will have a problem with this book simply because it has cheating and I really don't want to go into detail and spoil things here. This story is worth the read and in my opinion best experienced blind. Cash and Jules had such a strong connection and chemistry right from the start, and right or wrong I felt like they belonged together. There were so many reasons that they shouldn't be together, and yet all I wanted was to remove every last obstacle standing in their way.

To me, this book is definitely worth the read even if you are a bit skeptical due to the content. Things aren't so cut and dried here, and the story is far from over. This does end with a cliffhanger and I will be honest and tell you that at the end of Trashy Foreplay we are left with more questions than answers. But the other thing I will also tell you is that I will be anxiously waiting for the next installment in this series as I am dying for more! This might have been my first book from Gemma James, but it won't be my last.

Been on a roll for cheating tropes lately so down the rabbit hole we go.

This book is fvcking hilarious—and I mean that sarcastically—with everyone cheating on everyone. I haven't read a book with so many characters cheating in just one story. Then there are the plots—yes, too many of them that even the author didn't know how to handle them. I mean, girl, make up your mind. Is this all about cheating, business drama, family affairs, suicide, drug and rape, etc. It was just... too much.

The FMC was like... "We can't do this." but still takes the job and just can't stop even though she's always looking at his wedding ring.

Then the MMC was like... "I know we shouldn't do this but..." still leans on her and keeps brushing her hand every chance he gets. Until they both gave in at the last two chapters of the book that ended with a cliffy.

It was like that all throughout the book—the push and pull but I don't feel any romantic notions from them other than lust. Their affair is all about getting in each other's genitals to escape the stress from their lives, Jules from her toxic ex and one night stand with her married boss in Oklahoma and Cash from her strikingly beautiful and sexy wife.*rolls eyes*

All I kept thinking was, Cash is still in love with his wife but since he needs to get laid and his wife isn't giving it to him, he turns into his assistant—heck, he even falls for a blowjob from her wife while being "in love" with his mistress. And don't get me started with him calling her wife "my wife" every damn time when he could've called her Monica if the feelings aren't there anymore and wants to divorce her.

Ugh. Frustrating.

Crazy Chemistry

Trashy Foreplay is the first book of the Trashy Affair series by Gemma James.

This book is not for everyone. If you are triggered by infidelity, move along.

Broken hearts are what bind Jules and Cash 35,000 feet in the air. Fate and temptation is what propels them forward. This book is a lot. It's one of those books that you feel like you're holding your breath the entire time.

Ms. James knows how to keep the reader engrossed in her novels. The ending threw me for a loop and I can't wait to see where this story goes.

This topic is one that can be difficult for some to read, but I found the writing to be done well. I like the main characters and enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to see what happens in the next book because HELLO CLIFFHANGER!!!

If I had one word to describe this book it would have to be INTENSE. This was a great story that I was not expecting. The tension throughout this book was so thick  I couldn't turn the page quick enough! I just couldn't get enough of the slow burn between these characters. The chemistry between them made for a great page turner. I can't wait to read more!

I wasn't sure what I was walking into with this one, but I ended up being totally invested in these characters and dying for the next book. Come March they better get their HEA.

Pretty bad

Read like a teenager with a D in English wrote it. Don't waste your time. It's not worth it at all.
