The mystery was a bit thin .
Also, I read book 1 and this one and I don’t recall them sharing the background of Stokers wife. I wish replies were possible here, because I’d love someone to tell me where in the books the covered that! Veronica mentions in toward the end of the book as a known thing. But is it?

The development in Stoker and Veronica's relationship, though. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! They are what I'm really here for, I'm not ashamed to admit it! We finally get Stoker flirting back, and then some acknowledgement of what they have, and then some angst....ooooh, that was delicious. I need more! This would make a great TV series.

Veronica and Stoker discuss the business of hunting and preserving animals.
