I really enjoyed the plot & characters. There were points when the story was disjointed & I felt the focus was on one POV for too long.

Multiple stories that intertwine. At times it was a slow read, but the end blew me away.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 semi-thriller, twisted, suspenseful, page turning stars. Jennifer Hillier is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I recommend Little Secrets to everyone with the anticipation full of twisted and turn events. Hillier’s writing is original and page turner worthy. I was excited to receive Things We Do In The Dark as an ARC. This book did not disappoint!!! This is written in dual timeline ❣️ with multiple POV. It is written with style and harmony with the perfect amount of past and present to keep the book a page turner. Thank you NetGalley and St Martin’s Press/Minotaur Book for the ARC in exchange for honest opinion.

I am proud to say I supported the main character's rights and wrongs from the very beginning. Although the plot progressed too slowly at times, the main character's story broke my heart, and the compassion I felt towards her was probably the very thing that made me decide to stick through the book. I found the story quite predictable, but the writing was neat and compelling, and the use of alternating timelines made it more engaging, so it's still enjoyable.
