Definitely better than the first book! I struggled with the narrator in the audio book but it definitely picked up plot wise.

UMMMM WOW WhAT THE HECK

I wasn't going to give this five stars until the last few chapters but THEY BLEW ME AWAY. The conflict, the descriptions, the STORY, the characters....ACK.

Let's just say Franklin is the queen of writing hot guys who are also entirely functional and don't just exist to be hot. Kharn, Warmil, Mor...those are my favorites, but let's be honest, all the guys in this series are AMAZING and all of them are just so cool, too.

Also the magic.

Also the TWISTS.

Was it a little cliche? YUP.

Was it still quite obviously a passion project, full of all of Franklin's heart and soul?

YUP.

Love, love, LOVE.

I enjoyed this follow up. I think the story is coming along nicely from where started with a young pembrone girl learning her trade of story peddling. Tanwen is maturing quickly. She is now sailing about the world and she has her ups and downs but I think this thing between her and Mor is strange. I don’t fully understand why they are grumpy with each other at times. I am not sure I need to understand it but it definitely sails over my head. I have a feeling it is a heterosexual thing but I can’t be certain. I hope to track down the 3rd book to see how it all ends with Mor, Tannie, Brac, Naith, Braith and Khern. And if the orb makes any further appearances and if the Creator is revealed further or given any more depth in this story.

Whoa. That escalated quickly.
I LOVED The Story Peddler, and this was quite a step up. The stakes have been raised, folks.

Enjoyable and easy listening - good follow up to book 1 :)
Left off with need to find the final book of the trilogy.
