I didn't always enjoy being in the 7yo main characters mind. But I loved the writing and story. I love how things came together at the end.

Okay, so I've tried three times to read a Neil Gaiman book and abandoned it each time because the writing seemed too juvenile. Then I read Norse Mythology, and was delighted. Then I read this, and was DELIGHTED. Time to try again??

To write a story where you can feel the terror, the hopelessness just as much as our main character does... Neil really knows how to captivate with words.

I enjoyed reading every single page of this book- I loved word for word and it is hands down one of the best books I’ve ever read in my entire life.
I love this book wholeheartedly.

I'm a big Gaiman fan and had pretty high expectations of this book because I had heard compelling things from great sources. I am pleased to say it exceeded my expectations.

I don't want to say much because I want everyone to go into it knowing little to have the best possible experience. It's powerful, magical, and you should really just drop whatever you are doing and read it right this minute.

I loved the imagery depicted in the story. Found the storytelling emotional, nostalgic.
