I look forward to reading more in this universe! Some of the characters used obnoxious vocabulary - using big words for younger characters that were entirely unnecessary.

I didn’t see the whole
you kissed your sibling, surprise! a la Star Wars
I thought the twist was a bit convoluted, and I didn’t find the whole setup entirely believable- I had to reread it a couple times to understand what all Valentine was supposed to have done.

You can tell it was written for a younger audience, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing

We are so back!! I'm so excited to reread this series, I remember being obsessed with it when I was younger.
Still kinda holds up, some weird stereotypes, and everyone is a bit of a dick at times, but it's still pretty enjoyable to read.
The incest plotline absolutely kills me Everytime, SO OUT OF POCKET??? Cassandra Clare, eat you're heart out I guess....

It was okay, it wasn't great in my opinion, I didn't like that Cassandra
make them kiss and then tell us that they are SIBLINGS, and even after that she told us that clary keep thinking him a little bit in a romantic way. And I felt like that revelation was so out of nowhere, maybe it was just me but I feel like it was just for the shock. I also felt so gross with the Magnus insinuation with Alec, like he is a grown ass men and alec is a teenager

Even after that, it wasn't so bad, I didn't got attached with any of the characters but I like the universe that she created.

It wasn't memorable but it was nice for kill time.
