Okay. To tell the truth, it was interesting at first. Then...there was nothing. It got boring fast. Not my favorite...I like 'Transparent' much better. I wouldn't recommend this. No offense Miyoshi.

Main character is a welcome change to the usual shoujo tropes - a strong woman that does not mince her words and does not need saving. It is a very enjoyable story, with interesting characters and relationships. It makes references to a couple of well known songs, which makes it easy to feel the music when the main character sings. There are a few points that I really did not like near the end,
SpoilerI particularly disliked how the author tried to portray a child rapist as a sympathetic character, and also did not like how the main character lost all her confidence when dealing with her love interest
keeping it from becoming my new favorite.

I liked this book! Maria is a very interesting MC. She's slightly unnerving. I like how she's drawn. I want to see if she eventually wins people over, and the evolution of her (and the boys') characters. It sounds like it'll be interesting to watch. This was a kind of odd manga, in that it kicks main character tropes to the side and spits on them, but that made it kind of fun to read. The art is nice, and since I have most of the rest of the series checked out from my library, I'm definitely going to continue. I've never read anything quite like this, so it's exciting! 4 stars.

This was a fun reread. I remembered the basic plot, but I forgot how well the characterization and art work together. This manga is funny, insightful, and a bit dark, which is a fun combination. Recommended!

Maria Kawai is great and I love her the most. Here is a review-ish thing I wrote to prove it! P.S. Spoilers all over this mess, but nothing story breaking I should think. 4 stars
