high school story, might come back to it but may be too YA for me.

Rachel was one of the most relatable female leads I’ve read in awhile. Although I felt like her whole relationship with Freddie seemed lame from the get go, he was just, a little TOO perfect for her. I hope if there’s a follow up she and Bram get together, their dynamic was much more interesting.
That being said I thought the book wrapped things up in a way that was satisfying, but definitely left room for a sequel that wouldn’t feel unnecessary.
Love, love, loved all the horror movie references.
Also this author manages to use “teen slang” in a way that works, without being annoyingly overdone.

this was honestly way better than i expected it to be!! it was a little cheesy and definitely not my favorite book ever, but it kept me pretty invested and was very much a fast and fun read. i half predicted the plot twist, which seemed kind of obvious, but there were still definitely surprises and the ending made the whole thing feel worth it.

Hoo boy. This was a funny read mostly for all the teen lingo. It’ll be outdated in a few years most likely, but it definitely made me snort a few times.

The end had me laughing at the book rather than with it. Still fun! Nice homage to the genre. But I rolled my eyes through the last couple chapters.
