Couldn’t Suspend Disbelief

Oh jeez. Cliche after cliche! Kidnapped woman barely struggles against her fate, there’s no conflict, just multiple erotic scenes and pretend significance to a string of events that have no real stakes at all. Half hour read, two stars since I did actually read it through, I didn’t abandon it as much as I considered doing so.

Nice world building but character and relationship development is thin..

It’s a cute story, if a little cliché. Not too long of a read, probably could have used a little more character development and elements of drama and intrigue. The characters have the potential to have a really good dynamic if the story had more space for it.

I was given a free copy of this book through voracious reads.

Thank you C.D. Gorri for generously providing me with this audiobook.

This paranormal novella follows the story of the Macconwood Pack, whose primary mission is to find a suitable mate for their Alpha, Rafe.
Charley has no one in her life except for her cat, and has a miserable job working for ungrateful owners. Sensing that she might be a perfect match for their Alpha, Rafe's Wolf Guard takes it upon themselves to kidnap her and introduce her to Rafe. Despite being furious at how the situation was handled, Rafe takes an instant liking to his potential mate. Charley, on the other hand, initially fears the pack and is skeptical when she finds out they are werewolves. However, as her fear subsides, she finds herself attracted to Rafe, and agrees to become his mate until Christmas Eve, after which Rafe promises to let her go to resume her life. Over the course of the few weeks she spends among the pack, Charley starts to imagine a life within their community, which ultimately leads her to make a life-altering decision.

The story unfolds at a rapid pace. Personally, I would have liked to see them getting to know each other a bit better first before jumping into an intimate relationship right away. Also, a large number of the pack is introduced at one go, so it was hard to keep track of everyone. Nevertheless, I found the story overall enjoyable and would suggest it to those who love a spicy paranormal story.

Could definitely use some medium copyediting to fix grammar and syntactical errors. Everything was cringey, but I knew that going in.

It was an entertaining read. It remains me of my teenage years and how I read werewolves stories on Wattpad. There's not much to say about this book. It's short, fast paced and the characters end up together instantly (because they are mates and the attraction is difficult to resist).

This was such a fun, quick, and sexy read! I really enjoyed all of the characters, especially Charley and Rafe. I was surprised by how nicely Rafe treated Charley and I really appreciated that aspect of the story. As a whole, you really felt the pack mentality and bond they all had with each other. For such a short book you got a great feel for the characters.

This is the book for lovers of:
→ Werewolves
→ Fated Mates
→ Insta love
→ Spice

This is the perfect novella for the holiday season!

Charley's Christmas Wolf is a wonderful mash up of fairy tales. Our Cinderella is kidnapped by seven werewolves who are looking for a mate for their Alpha. Hilarity and heat follow starting off a terrific series.
