Lest til bokklubb. Veldig mange interessante ting å diskutere her.

Beautifully and hauntingly written, this book ultimately fails to entice. The first half of the book is rich and disturbing, even with the divorced style the author uses of distancing herself from her past. I was very moved by this section, but the second half changed course so completely and was not nearly as compelling. If this had been a longer memoir, it could have been just a separate chapter in a longer work, but pairing it with the first story made it an anticlimactic addition. I should check out her other works, though, because her voice is entrancing.
