I found out what all the fuss was about and I wasn't surprised because it was among the reasons I suspected she ran away. I also didn't like any of the guys, so I didn't see a reason to finish it...

What to expect:
∘ Dark Contemporary
∘ Romance
∘ Reverse-Harem
∘ Friends to Lovers

Oh gosh I loved this book! The story, the romance, Sunshine, all the Bullets... this was right up my alley! Perfect amount of dark romance without it being abusive or oppressive.

The audiobook narrator Jo Raylan was absolutely amazing! Her voice was like someone pouring dark honey into my ears, so calm, seductive and full of emotions.

Easily one of my favorite romance books this year!

Spicy and Mysterious

Have you ever had those friendships that felt like there was something more between you? Like there was a fine line that once crossed would be definitely a more than friends situation? Sunshine has four of these friendships back in high school, but after an unexplainable incident, she runs away leaving these friendships behind. The friends are devastated, but they never stop looking for her.

Being invisible is hard, but being found would most certainly mean death and so Sunshine lives a life in the gutter of society and it's a hard life. When she's found, it's not quite the reunion everyone hoped it would be. Have you ever met up with a crush you had a long time ago? Did your feelings for them change or is that fire still burning? Do you feel brave to express yourself now that you're older?

This book was really an introduction to all the characters and slotting them into the much bigger story of Sunshine and why she ran away. It's a unique story, though I'm a bit irritated with some of the guys behaviour regarding ownership. Sunshine is kind of treated like a possession. But, I need to know what happens next, so I'm off to start book 2. This was a spicy read.
