What an ending. I have so many questions that need answers and some answers that I want to know if they are right! Honestly, the main downfall of this book was Winnie. No matter what, all throughout her arc, I just didn’t like her. Even the emotional bit at the end, while it made me tear up, didn’t change my mind about her character. Here’s to hoping I like her more in the next book.

If Vampa's book were the only water that could quench my thirst I would happily reread these books even if I drowned! My goodness, this woman can write! The plot, the twists, the mystery, it was all beautifully done. I absorbed every word and I'm ravenous for more! I NEED BOOK 3 AND 4 like today, right now, at this moment. I love this series so much that it's most definitely going to be reread over and over until I know each book word for freaking word! 100/10 would recommend it!

Wonderful continuation to Autumn of the Grimoire. I felt like I got so much more of the larger story building in this second book. I love that Vampa brought some of the secondary characters to the forefront, especially Winnie and Eleanor (one of my favorites). I think this book really allowed characters that appeared unlikeable or stagnant to come into their own and really, truly own the page. I think Vampa did an amazing job of demonstrating just why the characters act the way they do and how their previous experiences shaped who they are as adults. I am a sucker for a book with strong character development and a solid plot. This had everything I needed.

My one issue is that I really struggle with too many POVs and this book had quite a few for me. It slowed me down a bit in the middle.

The story was haunting, and powerful, and made me hungry for the next one. I cannot wait for the third book, which I am hoping might feature Gaius and Sarscha a bit more, cause I truly need that. They make me laugh so much.

This is the perfect continuation of the first book and was excellently done. I loved the way the world continued to be built out and absolutely loved getting to know Winnie’s story and seeing her relationships change and grow. Add in swooning over Laurent and Grimm and it’s perfect. Did I frantically pace while reading the last chapter, yes, I did, and that makes it 5 stars for me.
