Another 4 star rating for the Ragmullin detectives!

Friggin' page turner. I'm a big fan of DI Lottie Parker and her team, especially DS Mark Boyd. I do like the two of them together as partners and hopefully it'll become more than just that. But I have to say - if this is going to be another Frieda/Karlsson situation in the end I might actually have to fly to Ireland to tell Patricia she can't play me like this.

Anyhow, 'The Stolen Girls' was a thrilling read and Patricia knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. I had no idea who the killer was and in the end, when the killer's identity was revealed, it made so much sense. I love those kind of books, where you can't guess whodunnit halfway through. The personal aspect is a really nice bonus as well. In the first book Lottie's daughter Katie and her son Sean were the ones that got involved, now it was her middle daughter Chloe's turn. The Parker family has been through a lot of drama/trauma and something tells me they're not off the hook just yet.

I'll definitely be reading book three in the series sometime in the near future!

Unread shelf project 2020: book 60.

I love Gibney’s writing style and how real (and flawed) her characters are. This was a very twisty, turny, surprise sort of story and although I guessed part of the whodunit, I didn’t guess all of it.

Definitely do not regret having gotten into this series!! Lottie Parker is an enjoyable and very REAL character and I’m enjoying getting to know her children and her colleagues as I continue reading this series.
