To druga książka Kinga, którą przeczytałam i bardzo podoba mi się jego styl snucia opowieści. Nie marnuje on przestrzeni na zbędne mrzonki. Cała książka jest zaplanowana od początku do końca, czuć baśniowy klimat i delikatny mrok. Ciekawa historia, która przedstawia zawiłą naturę człowieka i jak zawiść i gorycz potrafi doprowadzić do ruiny całe królestwo.

So very different from King's usual writing that it's almost difficult to believe it is him! The style is simple and straight-forward, but charming all the same. Greatly enjoyed this one.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters are so well developed, quirky, gross, and weird that I could not put it down.

A fun but simple tale of the kingdom of Delain. King attempts to write his own Hobbit or Narnia and the results are...perfectly alright. Three stars out of five.
